seasoning the cutting board with motor oil is innovation in India street food

  2. walkslikeaduck08

Not the worst street food I’ve seen coming out of India…

  3. DrNipSlip

Everything looks pretty standard minus the paper… Plate

    Oh rats nvm…

  4. Questionable hygeine aside that actually looks decent. No energy drinks and a minimum of motoroil.

  5. Zkenny13

Bro literally served him eggs on his report card.

  6. Firm-Scientist-4636

I mean…the paper is wild, but that still looks kinda tasty.

Edit: Omg. I just noticed the rats.

  7. Marsupialize

The first person to ever wash their hands in India is going to change the whole game

  8. qawsedrf12

Looks relatively clean compared to most of the shit I see coming out of India

  9. coffeebean_1992

Did that guy serve the food on his homework??

  10. I mean in England they use newspaper to wrap up fish and chips so the paper thing while word isn’t all that bad. It just looks like bro was using his latest tax statement for it or something serious cause that was no ordinary blank paper

If I had to eat in India, I would rather have this (even with the rats) than the motor oil ones.

Indian food being accepted in the mainstream was set back 10 yrs by the poopy diaper joke in Anchorman. We finally made it and setback another 10 years by these god damn shock factor insta posts.

Just imagine if Florida had a 1 billion people. There’d always be gross content to share :/ . Unfortunately a lot of these accounts only share the worst parts of India :/

    – sincerely a 1st gen Indian-American. I thought white kids in my white midwest town calling indian food “weird” would be the worst of it. Didn’t realize there would be a 2nd wave of this shit that’s so much more calculated and malicious :/

  13. morgan_mayhem

These videos were bad enough without the sound effects. Why tf do they all have them now?

  14. stroopkoeken

    This isn’t stupidfood, it’s povertyfood.

  15. RobbSnow64

I feel like this sub has just devolved into posts showing the worst of indian cuisine with racist comments. You could legit do this with any country. There are disgusting food practices in every country, and people are just cherry picking these ones.

  16. Forest_System

What about this food is stupid? It’s unhygienic, sure, but that doesn’t make it stupid…

  17. k_pineapple7

How is casual racism just so normal and accepted in these posts? It’s actually disgusting. And heartbreaking.

  18. Reasonable_Air3580

Poor people food is stupid? He didn’t even use his hands that much why is this stupid?

  19. But when a white guy wraps your fish and chips in newspaper i don’t hear a damn thing huh

  20. Shafter111

This is not stupid food. Once you leave the country, you miss this shit decades later

  21. Huron_Nori

I’ve seen worse. For random street food, this isn’t that bad. The rats don’t appear to be interacting with the cooking area. They seem to just enjoy the scraps on the ground. And the cooking area is raised up off of the ground as well. The eggs are kept cool in water as well.

Is it exactly super safe/clean? No, but at least it’s not cooked in fucking crude oil.

  22. JP-Edwards

So I’m a assume you guys disgusted by rats don’t eat at food trucks. Because for sure your average job site coffee trucks totally meets health and safety regulations.

  23. Jillet-Ben_Coe

This looks way better than most Indian street food I see. Some people are just trying to survive and don’t have much to do that with. You’re kind of revealing your western world privilege here haha

  24. konasutra

I ate this many years ago when I was travelling India, y’all call say what you like about food hygiene but that shit is delicious

  25. QuintanimousGooch

I’m gonna be real the prevalence of these types of videos and how often they get posted kinda feels like poverty porn

  26. unpopulartruths88

At this point this sub should just be called “Indian Street Food”

  27. Vast-Coat8910

People seriously underestimate how poor a lot of India is.

  28. NexexUmbraRs

Poor hygiene conditions due to poverty doesn’t make the food stupid.

It’s nothing outlandish, just a normal breakfast sandwich.
